Your private getaway in Marrakech

A large, luxurious house, built in the Moorish style and benefiting from all the comforts of the 21st Century. Situated 20 minutes from the Grand Place, Dar Moulouya is surrounded by a large, mature garden and has stunning views of the Atlas Mountains making this the perfect place for a family holiday, or a getaway with friends.

With 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms +ground floor cloakroom and ample living space, Dar Moulouya offers comfortable, luxury accommodation for up to 14 people.  The accommodation in the main house sleeps up to 10, with a seperate cottage in the garden that sleeps 4 (twin room with doubles and a double room with extra day-bed), both rooms ensuite.

THE HOUSE

Dar Moulouya is situated in the Ourika Valley, which spreads between the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and the city. Despite being so close to Marrakech, this beautiful green valley is definitely one of the best preserved in Morocco.

With fabulous open spaces, a fantastic pool and beautifully designed rooms, Dar Moulouya is the complete home from home, luxurious get-a-way.

The entrance to the house is through a glorious Andalucian style courtyard filled with vibrant orange and lemon trees and a cooling fountain. This immaculate and wonderful house was built in 2004 in a traditional style and named after Morocco’s most beautiful river.

There is a small staff who live on this small estate and provide full daily housekeeping and catering.  The catering/dining is a fantastic standard offering a range of local dishes throughout the week, with breakfast including local fruit, Marrakech square pancakes and honey/conserves etc.

Dar Moulouya is only 20 minutes from the bustling Medina of Marrakech but is utterly peaceful.  Located within it’s own grounds on a secure Estate,  the large garden is spectacularly planted with a thousand roses, bougainvillea, olive, pomegranate and banana trees. It is also home to Leila and Charlie, the tortoise couple, who boss around the exotic birds and butterflies, drawn to this much-loved garden.

We can organise excursions on your behalf from desert trips to water parks, as well as luxurious massage and beauty treatments at the house. For those who love fitness, you can do a yoga class a couple of minutes away from the house. For those who love golf, Palm Golf Marrakech Ourika is a must and only ten minutes drive away.

We can also suggest the best places to eat, drink and shop. Should you require a driver, we can arrange this for you (payable locally).

MARRAKECH

Just three hours flight and a world away from England, Marrakech is an intoxicating city known for its souks, spices, snake charmers and hidden palace. However, these days it’s prized as much for its trendy art galleries, hip hotels and elegant hammams. A vibrant bustling city where Arab, Berber and European influences blend comfortably to offer an unforgettable adventure, Marrakech has much to offer.

From the iconic Koutoubia to the maze-like souk, the snake charmers to the tranquillity of the Jardin Majorelle, there is something for everyone.

Excellent shopping, delicious international cuisine, buzzing nightlife, year-round sunshine and the wonderful Moroccan people make this a perfect location.

THE HIGH ATLAS

Just 45 minutes drive from Dar Moulouya lie the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Here you can enjoy the country’s best trekking, explore the Berber villages and ride mules up to the famous Kasbah Toubkal.

The Atlas Mountains offer some of the region’s most spectacular scenery and, if you are feeling adventurous, you can rock climb, mountain bike and even ski here. An excursion to the mountains is a striking contrast to the city of Marrakech and offers an insight into traditional rural life.
